my story.

I was born in the Ivory Coast, West Africa, and I am proud to call the United States my home.

When I was nine years old, my mom made a heart-wrenching decision to send me to the U.S. to escape the civil war that engulfed our country for over a decade.

The night before my journey, she carefully packed a large suitcase, making it look like we would travel together. I was super excited—not just about the trip but also because I would be seeing an airplane for the first time.

When we arrived at the airport, we reached the security checkpoint near the plane. Iran to the window, awestruck by the sheer size of the aircraft, eager to step aboard. Then, in an instant, everything changed.

Before I could turn around to share my excitement with my mother, two security guards suddenly grabbed me and whisked me toward the plane. I was confused, overwhelmed, and utterly unprepared for what was happening. I cried the entire trip.

My mom was all I had at the time, and not having her by my side shattered my heart—a feeling that I haven’t been able to shake off to this day.

MY FATHERHOOD.

I am a proud and devoted father to my 8-year-old son, Quincy. That boy completely transformed my life, arriving at a time when I needed him more than I could ever have imagined. He probably doesn’t realize it yet, but I needed him just as much as he needs me.

Coming from a broken family, with my father absent and being an only child, the concept of family has always been a bit of a puzzle for me. For most of my life, family meant my mom’s unwavering love and care—the only version of family that felt real to me. But when Quincy came into my life, I discovered a whole new depth to that feeling. Not only did I feel the love and connection I knew from my mom, but I also experienced a sense of purpose, joy, and completeness that I had never known.

Quincy has taught me what family truly means: showing up, giving your best, and creating lifetime memories. He inspires me daily to be the kind of father I never had and to break the cycle so he grows up with an unshakable sense of love and support from a strong male figure.

In our free time, we make the most of every moment together. Whether it’s bouncing at the trampoline park, catching the latest movies, or playing soccer, basketball, football, and video games, we’re always finding new ways to bond. We also love getting creative with drawing and coloring —it’s our little way of exploring the world together.

Fatherhood has been my greatest gift, and I’m grateful daily for the chance to walk this journey with Quincy by my side.

MY FAMILY.

As you know, family has been something I’ve been trying to understand over the years. My son gave that word a whole new feeling and meaning. But now, my longtime partner and soon-to-be wife, Jaquoi, has deepened and redefined what family truly means to me.

Jaquoi is the most selfless woman I’ve ever met, and she’s the only person who’s made me honestly believe in what people call “love.” Love is also a word that has increasingly puzzled me as I’ve grown older, but it finally makes sense with her.

She has shown me that love is not just an emotion but a choice—a commitment to stand by someone through life’s ups and downs, to give without expecting, and to support each other as we grow. Her patience, kindness, and unwavering belief in me have reshaped my understanding of love I never thought possible.

Jaquoi has not only become my partner but also my best friend, my confidante, and the foundation of the family we’re building together. She’s shown me how beautiful life can be when it’s shared with someone who truly understands and accepts you.

With her and Quincy by my side, I feel stronger, more complete, and more inspired than ever to create the kind of life reflecting the love and happiness they bring into my world every day.

MY LIFESTYLE.

The gym has been more than just a place to work out. It is my sanctuary and a cornerstone of my daily routine. I’m up at 4:30 a.m. every weekday, dedicating myself to an hour of physical and mental preparation.

Running is by far my favorite thing to do. Something about the rhythm, the challenge, and the freedom it brings fuels me unlike anything else: it’s where I clear my mind, set my intentions, and push my limits. Running isn't just exercise—it’s a mindset, a practice in endurance, and a reflection of my approach to life.

In addition to running, I also enjoy Pilates. It helps me build core strength, improve flexibility, and enhance my body control. More than just physical benefits, Pilates strengthens my ability to focus, be patient, and remain mindful. The control and precision required in Pilates translate into my approach to problem-solving, ensuring that I stay composed and adaptable under pressure.

These habits directly support my professional work by keeping my energy levels high, my mind sharp, and my resilience strong. Running fuels my drive and determination, pushing me to go the extra mile in my work. Pilates enhances my focus and adaptability, helping me navigate challenges with precision and composure.

My typical plate consists of brown rice, fresh vegetables, and lean protein like chicken, fish, or beef. I’m not a breakfast guy, so I enjoy Greek yogurt and Gatorade suits and other goodies with my homemade  for lunch. I also prioritize staying hydrated throughout the day and drinking nearly a gallon of water daily.

On the other hand, I avoid processed foods as much as possible, prioritizing high-quality ingredients to stay healthy and perform at my best. Clean eating isn’t just about physical fitness—it’s about maintaining mental clarity, focus, and sustained productivity throughout the workday. What I put into my body directly impacts my energy levels, decision-making, and ability to tackle challenges confidently.

Of course, I have guilty pleasures—like a Five Guys burger, a slice of Costco pizza, and a bottle of Mexican Coke. These occasional indulgences remind me that enjoying life is as essential as staying committed to long-term health and wellness. It's about sustainability, not perfection—giving myself the flexibility to recharge while staying focused on my goals.

Giving back to the youth has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life. Growing up without a father figure or mentor, I had to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Mentoring young people is my way of breaking that cycle and giving others the tools and confidence I wish I had. Through coaching soccer, basketball, football, tennis, and rugby, I teach skills and instill discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities that extend far beyond sports.

Whether it’s coaching, mentoring, cheering, or simply being present, my goal is to inspire the next generation to reach their full potential. It’s about more than just giving advice—it’s about building relationships, teaching values, and showing them that someone believes in their abilities.

Involving my son in these experiences has deepened our relationship, allowing us to share meaningful moments that strengthen our bond while teaching him the importance of community and giving back.

Coaching and mentoring have not only made me a better father but also reinforced the leadership, patience, and communication skills that I apply in my professional career every day.

I cherish spending quality time with my close-knit circle of friends, a group small in number but immense in strength and meaning. We often gather our kids for fun outings—whether it's trips to the park, arcades, food spots , trampoline parks, or backyard barbecues. No matter the setting, we somehow end up having even more fun than the kids. These moments are filled with laughter, deep conversations, and camaraderie, creating lifelong memories and strengthening our bonds. It's not just about enjoying the moment, but about ensuring our children grow up surrounded by love and positivity.

Many of these friends have supported me in ways even my blood relatives couldn’t, and I will always cherish their presence in my life. They are my motivators, encouragers, and second family—people who inspire me to be a better father, mentor, and friend. This deep sense of community fuels me not only in my personal life but also in my professional endeavors. It reinforces my belief in teamwork, loyalty, and the power of uplifting those around me.

Just as my friends and community have been a source of strength, I strive to bring that same sense of encouragement, collaboration, and support into the workplace, carrying the lessons they've taught me into everything I do.
